Studio Policies

Welcome to Madeline's Dance Center! As we begin another rewarding season,we thank you for reading through the following policies and also the policies listed throughout this packet. Our policies will help ensure a properly functioning school environment.

Class Schedules

  • It is important that each class begins and ends on time.
  • Please pick up students promptly after class is finished. We cannot be responsible for students beyond their allotted time.
  • Please change in designated areas only.
  • Please remain quiet in waiting areas and move quickly and quietly to allow for smooth transitions in-between classes. Students may not leave the studio until a guardian has arrived. Your cooperation is appreciated.
  • All classes are one hour in length; with the exception of the tot classes (kindergym, mommy & me, combo, pre-ballet & tumble tots)… this is to allow for changing time to ensure adequate traffic flow. These classes are 50 minutes in length.
  • Should class attendance fall below 4 students in any given week, the following may occur:
    • Tot Classes may be conducted for 30 minutes
    • All other classes may be conducted for 45 minutes
    • You will not be charged at the semi-private or private lesson rate should the above occur, but please note that if class enrollment should fall below 5 students, the class may be cancelled.
  • Madeline's Dance Center, Inc. holds the right to terminate any students' lesson(s) should interference occur with the proper functioning of the studio.

Missed Classes

If a class is missed for a legitimate reason, an alternate class may be taken within a one month period. (Sorry, classes may not be made up due to parties, sporting events or sleepovers) kindly understand that we cannot refund payment, nor may you deduct for missed classes. If your child will miss their class, please call to inform us.

Lost Articles

The dance center is not responsible for lost articles. Please clearly mark the name of the student on all articles.

Waiting / Homework Areas

Please understand that while we do have a waiting area, it is of great importance that this area be respected!

  • Only water with pull top bottles are permitted in the studios.
  • Nutrional snacks and meals only (for students who take more than two classes).
  • Please make sure you dispose of any garbage before leaving.
  • Upon entering the foyer area, you will find an informational shelf and informational bulletin board for announcements. Please hang coats in this area. (Students should use the space in the homework room for their changing articles.)
  • The lobby area offers a viewing window for Studio 1 and the front office offers a viewing area for Studio 2, along with a dancewear shop. Please be courteous in these areas by keeping conversation low and realizing traffic flow between classes.
  • The homework room is first on the right after you turn the corner from the lobby. Please utilize the cubbies in this room for changing articles and storage of personal items. Please make sure that you do not leave anything in the cubbies after your classes are through each evening.
  • The homework room should remain quiet at all times. Younger siblings of students may utilize the quiet activities this room has to offer, but please make sure there is parent supervision.
  • Electronic devices and games are not permitted.
  • Personal items should not be left in the bathrooms.
